Important Mental Health Treatment Plans Rebate Changes from Nov 1, 2025

To keep getting a Medicare rebate for your Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) appointments (new plan, referral, or review), you must see the doctor who is EITHER:

- At the practice you have registered with MyMedicare; OR
- Your usual doctor (the one who sees you most often- if you choose not to register with MyMedicare).

If you are already registered with another practice for MyMedicare, you should book your MHTP appointments with a doctor at that registered practice instead.
